Vernon Yellowjackets Homecoming Game
The Vernon Jackets’ Homecoming 2024 is officially in the books! It was a fantastic week for all the kids, filled with spirited dress-up days at school. Breakfast for the players was generously sponsored by Gigi’s Country Store. The players pre-game meal was sponsored by Sunny Hills Civic Association and Holmes Creek Pizza. Chipley Lady Tigers will play the Cottondale Lady Hornets on Thursday, October 17th, 6:00pm. Central Time 
On Monday October 14th, 2024, Chipley High School was the Host Site for Rural District 2 – 2024 Girls Volleyball District Tournaments, Vernon Lady Yellowjackets played Holmes County Lady Blue Devils, best out of 5 match- 1- 3, Lady Devils win. 
On Monday October 7th, 2024, the Chipley Lady tigers hosted the Cottondale Lady Hornets. 
On Friday Night October 4th ,2024, Vernon Yellowjackets hosted the Arnold Marlins under the Friday Night lights, at the end of the game the score was 40-0 Arnold wins. 
On Friday October 4th, 2024, the football game was cancelled and the band played on. 
On Monday September 30th, 2024, the Chipley Tigers hosted the Holmes County Blue Devils in a rescheduled game from Friday September 27, 2024, rescheduled because of Hurricane Helene. The score at half time was 8-0 Blue Devils. The final score was 8-12 Chipley Tigers win 
On Friday, September 20th, 2024, the Vernon Yellowjackets traveled to Freeport, Florida, to play against the Freeport Bulldogs.
