The fun started at 6 AM till 9 AM pancake breakfast at the Masonic Hall. The parade started at 10:00 AM. The Welcome, Invocation, National Anthem, introductions.
Friday Night August 4th, 2023, The Town of Wausau, Possum Capital of the World, held their 54th annual Wausau Funday and Possum Festival. 
It’s almost time for school to start back, but we still have one Friday left – August 4th! In celebration of the last Friday of “the Summer”, Washington County Historical Society invites young and old to a free event – chalking the sidewalks under the pavilion!
t’s almost that time of year! It’s another hot Summer, but folks are thinking about Fall and some leaves are beginning to turn. All that means that the scarecrows will soon start showing up in downtown Chipley in anticipation of “Archeologists at the Museum History Fest & Scarecrow Building Contest.” Both events are scheduled for Saturday, September 23rd at the Washington County Historical Society in downtown Chipley.
The Washington County Historical Society was open and welcomed visitors during Sip-and-Shop last night. Vintage clothing, hats and accessories were gathered, and visitors enjoyed dressing up and having a fun photo op.
