On Friday 24th, 2025, Holmes County Blue Devils Hosted the Blountstown Tigers in a conference game. Half-time the teams went in with a score 24-6, Blountstown ahead. The final score was 48-20, Blountstown wins.

It was a great weekend for our local high school bands as both the Pride of Vernon Band and The Chipley Spirit of the Tiger Band took the field at Tommy Oliver Stadium for the FBA District II Marching MPA.

Ander Jean Sowell, age 87, passed from this life Wednesday, October 15th, 2025 at her home. She was born in Washington County, Florida on June 30, 1938 to Ander and Ada (Carter) Taylor. Ann was a homemaker for her family. She enjoyed fishing, hunting, and working in her yard.
