It was a great weekend for our local high school bands as both the Pride of Vernon Band and The Chipley Spirit of the Tiger Band took the field at Tommy Oliver Stadium for the FBA District II Marching MPA. After putting in countless hours of practice this season, both bands were rewarded with overall Superior ratings — the highest score a band can receive.
Vernon wowed the judges with a strong, confident performance that showed off their musical talent and sharp marching. Chipley brought plenty of energy and school spirit to the field, putting on a performance that was impressive.
Both bands represented their schools with pride and gave their communities something to cheer about. It was a well-earned celebration for these hardworking students and directors.
