It was a tough night on the scoreboard for the Vernon Yellow Jackets, who fell to Central 51-8 on Friday October 17, 2025, but beyond the final score, the night was all about honoring the Yellow Jackets’ senior class in their final home game of the season.
The team fought hard and played with heart, backed by the cheers of a supportive home crowd there to celebrate the seniors’ dedication and leadership. While the game didn’t go Vernon’s way, the energy on the field and in the stands showed the pride this community has in its team.
With the loss, Vernon moves to 0-9 on the season, but the Jackets aren’t giving up. They’ll hit the road this Friday to take on Cottondale at 7:00 p.m., still pushing to finish the season strong.
