Washington County Sheriff’s Office Rodeo

The 7th Annual Washington County Sheriff’s Office Rodeo brought two nights of excitement to the Washington County Equestrian Center on September 12 and 13. Crowds enjoyed bull riding, barrel racing, calf roping, steer wrestling, and more as local cowboys and cowgirls showed off their skills.

The event was made possible by many community sponsors, including First Federal Bank of Chipley, Johnson Roofing, Arnold Lumber, Motorola Solutions, Mobil Communications America, George and Jan Gainer, Chipola Meats Processing, Liberty Partners of Tallahassee, Florida Power & Light, Cooks Discount Drugs, Woodmen of the World Life, Students Working Against Tobacco, Billy Brock Farms, Chipley Gun and Pawn, Mitch’s Collision, Hometown Vet, Mitch’s Sight & Sound, Porter Healthcare, Stewart, and the Kent Smith Group. Individual events were also supported by area businesses.

Families enjoyed the Kids Corral, Stick Pony Races, and live music from Grace & Grit. Special moments included flag presentations by Aleah Davis and Hattie Faulk, the Christian flag carried by Kaydance Boyett, and the national anthem performed by Katie Jenkins. A rodeo clown, announcer Adam Gibbs, and many volunteers added to the fun.

Proceeds benefited the Sheriff’s Office annual toy drive, making the rodeo both entertaining and meaningful for the community.
