Friday, September 18th, was a special night in Vernon as we celebrated Homecoming.
The evening started with a field house renaming ceremony in honor of Chester Leroy Jackson, followed by a great performance from the Pride of Vernon Marching Band.
Then it was time for football! At halftime, the 2026 Homecoming Court was announced, and our Homecoming King and Queen were crowned.
The Jackets faced the FAMU Rattlers and played hard from start to finish. Vernon put points on the board with a touchdown and the extra point.
The Rattlers came away with the win, 58-8, but our Jackets never gave up and continued to fight until the final whistle.
It was a night full of school spirit and hometown pride.
