Rosa A. Vasquez, 91 of Bonifay, passed from this life on July 11, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rosa was born on May 13, 1930 in Tampico, Tamps.,Mexico. She was a devoted mother and military wife who for 25 years followed her husband all over the world during his Air Force career. Rosa loved to study her Bible and was an active member in her church, the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Laredo, Texas, when her health permitted. She worked as a hairdresser for a number of years, as well as in the retail industry. Rosa also enjoyed crocheting and taking care of her cats. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Jesus Aguilar and Teresa Hernandez Vda. de Aguilar, husband: Pedro G. Vasquez; brothers: Mario Aguilar, Genaro Aguilar, Jose Aguilar; sisters: Maria Aguilar, Mara Aguilar.
She is survived by her daughter, Maria “Terri” White (Ken) of Bonifay, Florida; sister: Natividad Serna (Rodolfo) of Laredo, Texas; grandchildren: Cyndi Sisson (Mark), Christopher White (Krystal), Mandi White (Shawn), Elizabeth Gray (Jeff); nine great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren, and a beloved niece Lupe Serna.
Funeral service will be held 11AM, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Poplar Head Independent Free Will Baptist Church in Bonifay, Florida with Rev. James Pate officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
