Monday, June 14, at approximately 11:22 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol initiated a pursuit of a stolen vehicle which had previously fled from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
The pursuit began in Vernon and was terminated by use of the PIT, on State Road 79 south of Interstate 10 in Washington County.
The driver was taken into custody by troopers after a short foot pursuit.
