President’s Day at the Museum

The public is invited to attend a reception at 10am on Monday, February 17 at the Washington County Historical Society at 685 7th Street.   Director Dorothy Odom will be unveiling a new collection featuring George Washington, our first president for whom our county is named after.   The collection features a bronze bust, a lithographed portrait, , a porcelain figurine, and a newspaper from the 1800s.  This event is just one of many to come in 2025 coinciding with Washington County’s Bicentennial Celebration.

During 2025, an original commemorative Bicentennial quilt will be on display at the museum.  Quilt raffle tickets will be available beginning February 17th.
