Chipley Fire Department Past and Present
Tuesday August 12, 2025, the dedication ceremony unveiling a new monument honoring all who are serving and have served on the Chipley Fire Department.
Recognized were Phillip Adams, who has served for 52 years, Kenneth Rustin, who has served for 51years.
God be with our firefighters, and their families serving our community of Chipley.
Mayor Andrews recognized the community leaders that were in attendance. She stated this really honors every firefighter that has served past or present, but we look at the service that is a living legacy. When years turn into decades and decades into a lifetime. We honor and recognize two legacies with the department, Mr. Phillip Adams who has served for 52 years and Mr. Kenneth Rustin who has served for 51 years. We appreciate your strong dedication to the City of Chipley. Together they have 103 years of commitment to Chipley. We are grateful that our volunteers are expanding and appreciate you all for your devotion which is the very heartbeat of this department. Thank you for your service and dedication.
A hero is someone who has given his/her life to something bigger than oneself. That spirit lives in every name and story that this monument represents. It is found in service to others.
