Betty Sue Wood Obit

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Betty Sue Wood. She faithfully served as a dedicated partner in ministry alongside her late husband, Reverend Robbins Lee Wood, for more than 67 years. Her impact on the lives of both young and old cannot be measured on this side of heaven.

Betty is survived by her sister, Jean Farmer, and her children: Wesley Daryl, Cheryl Elise Colbert, Carol Lynn Phy, and Charlotte LeAnne Thompson. She was a loving and proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren, great-grandmother to 22 great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandmother to two.

Betty had a deep heart for evangelism and was known for using every opportunity to start a conversation and share the message of grace. Please keep the Wood family in your thoughts and prayers during this time. While we mourn her passing, we rejoice to know that she has entered the eternal presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As a family, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the many caregivers who supported us through these difficult months, as well as the neighbors, friends, and relatives who visited her. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.

Funeral arrangements will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Wausau Pentecostal Holiness Church. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Wausau Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
