Ann Howell Helms Golden Harden, 84, of Chipley, FL, passed away May 11th, 2021, with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Hobbie Howell and Sue Lee Helms, January 30, 1937, in Brundidge, AL. Ann graduated from Graceville High School in 1955 and was a majorette at Troy State University.
She was the former wife to the late Robert D. Golden and widow of T. Dewey Harden. Ann is survived by her sister, Martha Sue Williams of Lake Jackson, TX; her two children: Suzanne Golden Harrison (Calvin) of Panama City, FL and Ronald Scott Golden (Toni), of Panama City, FL. She is also survived by her three grandchildren: Katie Golden of Valparaiso, FL; Alec Golden (Hollie) of Youngsville, LA; Brody Golden of Panama City, FL; her nieces and nephews: Donna Hogan of Brundidge, AL; Stark Laney (Kathy) of Dothan, AL; Alan Williams (Inda) of Marble Falls, TX; Karen Gillenwaters (James) of Lake Jackson, TX; her two step grandchildren: Heather Gaither (Rich) and Tyler Harrison of Panama City, FL; her step great-grandson Jonathan Gaither; and was stepmother to six children and numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by a long time, best friend, Ruth Glenn of Lynn Haven, FL.
Beyond being a loving family member to many, Ann was a woman of many interests and talents. She loved her Bridge Group, enjoyed theater, art, movies, and could really dance. Ann traveled around the world. Everyone who knew Ann loved her sweet smile, beautiful sparkling eyes, and her distinctive, contagious laughter. She loved animals and was quick to take in a stray dog or cat.
Ann was active in her community. She was a current member of the First United Methodist Church of Chipley and Daughters of the American Revolution. Throughout her life she was a member and officer of many service organizations.
Early in her career, Ann worked in banking. She worked and retired as the Business Office Manager of the hospital in Chipley, FL.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 1:30 pm at the First United Methodist Church in Chipley, FL. A graveside service will be held at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge, AL on June 5th, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.

These organizations brought much comfort and aid to Ann throughout the past years.
