Betty Jeanette Taylor, age 90, of Malone, Florida went home to be with the Lord, Friday, April 30, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Jeanette was born on April 17, 1931 in Two Egg, Florida. She was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and a graduate of Malone High School. Her first job started behind the soda fountain at Watson’s Drug Store in Marianna, FL. She was later a telephone operator prior to becoming a wife and homemaker, where she and her husband of 50 years, Rozell Taylor, raised their daughters on the family farm.
Mrs. Taylor was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church where she served in many capacities. Numerous lives were touched through her servant’s heart. The family wishes to thank Emerald Coast Hospice for the love, care and compassion they showed during this past year.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rozell Taylor; father, Joe Franklin Bradberry; mother, Ruby Arlene Johnson (Conrad); Brothers, Joe and Roy Bradberry and a sister, Margette Bradberry.
She is survived by two daughters, Charlotte (Ted) Baxter and Mary Carol (Rusty) Murdock; four grandchildren, Valerie Baxter and Ashley Baxter, Marcy Murdock and Kyndal (Clay) Schuler; and three great-grandsons, Charley, Seth and Silas Schuler, all of Malone, Florida and a sister-in-law, Gayle Bradberry of Bascom, Florida.
Funeral service will be at 10 AM, Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Friendship Baptist Church in Malone with Rev. Ed Ham officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery with James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel directing. The family will receive friends at 9 AM, one hour prior to the funeral at the church.
