On Saturday, July 4, the City of Vernon celebrated our nation’s 250th Independence Day with a fun-filled community event. The celebration kicked off with a parade at 5:00 p.m., followed by a festival at the Sportsplex featuring local vendors, activities for the kids, and live music. Gospel musician Leah Pettis performed at 6:00 p.m., followed by headliner Christian Birge at 7:00 p.m. The evening concluded with an incredible fireworks show that began at 9:00 p.m. Thank you to the City of Vernon and everyone who worked so hard to make this wonderful community celebration possible. Happy 250th, America!
