Thora Hicks, 90 of Chipley, passed from this life on December 24, 2025 at her home.
Thora was born in Okeechobee, Florida on January 26, 1935 to Archie and Annabelle (English) Whidden. She loved her family dearly, and her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She will be sorely missed by those who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents,her beloved husband, Charley E. Hicks Sr.; son: Charley Hicks Jr.; daughter: Sharon Pardon; and sister: Pat Beck.
She is survived by her daughter: Mary “Tina” Winter of Chipley, Florida; son: Carnelious Kelly of Chipley, Florida; three sisters: Mary Lou Waddell, Loretta Whidden, Gwendolyn Wolfhagen; brother: Horis Whidden; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins and loved ones.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 A.M Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Brown Funeral Home Chapel in Chipley, Florida. Interment will follow in Wachob Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at Brown Funeral Home Chapel.
