Inez D. Owens, 86, of Newberry, Fl. passed away peacefully Friday April 10, 2026.
Inez was born in Bonifay, Fl. on August 14, 1939, to John Norman and Bertha (Pippin) Dauphin.
She graduated from Clearwater High School and earned an associate degree from Gulf Coast State College. She worked as a bookkeeper at Borusan Berg Pipe in Panama until her retirement.
She was a faithful Christian and longtime member of Emerald Coast Fellowship in Lynn Haven, Fl and Westside Baptist Church in Gainesville. Inez lived her life to the fullest, whether it was hunting/fishing with her sons, square dancing, and traveling with her husband, being an active member of the Moose Lodge and above all spending time with her grandkids and great grandchildren, Inez made the most of her time on earth.
Inez is preceded in death by her parents and her three sisters (Pauline, Helen, and Zelma). She is survived by her two sons Clarence Edward McCall III, and James Robert McCall, her grandchildren James Robert McCall Jr, Virginia Lynn McCall, and Carson Allen McCall, and her great grandchildren James Robert McCall III, Patrick Matthew McCall, and Brendan Anthony McCall.
A funeral service will be held at Williams Thomas Funeral Home 823 NW 143rd St. Newberry, Fl 32669 on Wednesday April 22, 2026, with Reverend Mike Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at 10:00am with the service beginning at 11:00am. Burial will be at Ferguson Cemetery in Chipley, Florida on, Friday, April 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Steve Taylor presiding
