Mary Kathleen Schofield, age 51, of Midland City, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2026.
She was born February 15, 1974, in Marianna, Florida, to the late Herndon Schofield and Mary Lou Ramsey Schofield.
Mary was handicapped, but she possessed a sweet and gentle spirit that touched everyone who knew her. She had a deep love for Jesus and her parents. Mary also enjoyed watching television, especially Hallmark movies and classic shows such as The Golden Girls, The Dukes of Hazzard, and The Andy Griffith Show, which reminded her of the wonderful home life she shared with her precious, beloved parents.
Mary enjoyed drawing, crafting, making wreaths, and decorating for the holidays, with Christmas being her favorite season of all. She had a special card ministry and took great joy in sending cards to brighten the days of others. She also enjoyed Facebook, dog races, visiting with family and friends, fishing, and listening to country music. One of her favorite songs, which she shared with her parents, was “We’re Gonna Hold On” by George Jones and Tammy Wynette—a song that reflected her loving, faithful heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved chihuahua, Tiger.
Mary is survived by her sister, Patty Schofield Booth, along with other relatives and loved ones who will cherish her memory always.
