On Friday, October 24, 2025, the Vernon Yellow Jackets traveled to Hornet Stadium to take on the Cottondale Hornets in their final game of the season. The Jackets knew the game would be tough, but they showed up ready to give it their all. They played with heart, showed great sportsmanship, and kept a positive attitude from start to finish.
As always, Vernon fans and families were there, cheering on their team. The Pride of Vernon band did a fantastic job performing from the stands, filling the night with spirit and energy. The Vernon cheerleaders also did an excellent job leading cheers and showing their school pride!
Even though the Jackets fell short with a final score of 6–54, they left it all on the field. See you next year, Yellow Jacket football!
