Mrs. Perilee Russ Ward will celebrate 106 Precious Years on January 6, 2025.

One- hundred & six years (106) is a significant milestone through life’s journey and it’s regular milestones, signifying a long healthy life. Mrs. Perileee is a true centenarian with an impressive longevity. GOD has been there to provide all our needs.

Mrs. Preilee Ward was born in Jackson County to Granderson and Jessie Russ on January 6, 1919.

Later, in life she married Rev. Jessie Lee Ward and gave birth to five beautiful children. Four boys, Jessie James (deceased), Pastor Freddie Ward, Jerry Ward, Samual Ward (deceased), and one girl, Magerine Littles.

Mrs Ward was employed as a cook at the Washington County Jail House, and later worked at Roulhac High School in the cafeteria.

In 1973, Mrs Ward and her husband, Rev. Jessie Lee Ward relocated to Daytona , Florida to be closer to her daughter, Magerine Littles.

There she was employed at Campbell Middle School in the cafeteria retiring in 1996.

In 2008, her beloved husband, Rev. Jessie Lee Ward, passed away at 100 years old, A True Centenarian.

Mrs. Ward’s secret to Longevity was Trusting GOD! She lives each and every day to talk to her children, grandchildren, relatives, and many friends.

She loves talking on the telephone to her son, Pastor Freddie Ward. She loves to travel when Pastor Fred comes to visit his Mom, he takes her to Cocoa, Florida to visit Joyce, Ryan, Charles, and Leona Sheffield.
