Garden Club Enjoys Fun With Flowers
Chipley Garden Club met Wednesday, October 4th at the Washington County Library for their monthly meeting. The program was “Fun with Flowers”, a hands-on flower arranging learning opportunity. Members gathered greenery from their home gardens and combined them with beautiful Fall flowers to create over thirty arrangements – some went home with members, some went to school, some went to friends, and a big Thank You bouquet stayed with the library staff. Vernon Volleyball Honored the senior players Thursday Night, 10-05-23, before the game, # 10 Mary Robbins, # 11 Alyona Sanchez- Hooks, # 3 Amor Roche, # 7 Autumn Sheffield, # 12 Renecia Hogans, # 20 Massy Carrol, # 9 Jonei Gordon, #1 Kayen Houck. The Lady Rams won the match 3-2 against the Vernon Lady Yellow Jackets, scores were: 25- 21, 14- 25, 25- 14, 26- 28, 15- 9.
Edwina Y. Showers, age 85 of Chipley, Florida, passed away peacefully, Wednesday October 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by loved ones.

On Friday, 09-29-23, Holmes County High School held their homecoming before the game the fans were introduced to the homecoming court before the game and the KING and Queen crowned at Half time.
On Thursday, 09-28-23, the Bonifay Blue Devils Hosted the Vernon Yellow Jackets, Vernon Jacket JV, won the best out of 3 sets, 2-0. In the varsity match the Blue Devils won the best out of 5 sets, 3- 0, scores were, 22- 25, 22- 25, 21- 25. 
Ralph Bronson, age 74, of Fountain, FL passed from this life on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at his home. He was born on July 25, 1949 in Tampa, FL to the late Cade Luther Bronson and Josephine (Hall) Bronson Sloan.
