Ira Belle CorbinIra Belle Corbin passed away on December 1, 2016 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.

She was born at home in Jackson County Florida (5 miles from Sapp Church, down Sapp Road) on January 15, 1919 to Daniel Greenberry and Olive Irabell Sapp (Dade and Ollie). She graduated high school from Cottondale High School in 1938. She was a member of Sapp Holiness Church in Cottondale, Florida. On November 28, 1942, she was united in holy matrimony to W.J. Corbin (Macon). She taught school at Indian Pass School and Alford Elementary. Her primary occupation was wife, mother and homemaker for 74 years. Her fields of specialty included but were not limited to being a chef, gardener, veterinarian, child psychologist, marriage consultant, musician, seamstress, counsellor, police officer, nurse, jailor, referee, teacher, bible scholar, economist, accountant, ecologist, and standup or rocking chair comedy. Her heart, home front porch and dining room table were open to everyone.

Mrs. Corbin is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, W.J. Corbin (Macon); one infant son; her parents, Dade and Ollie Sapp; one grandson, James Christopher Toole and son-in-law, Jack Toole. Mrs. Corbin was also preceded in death by all of her siblings Marie, Romella, Preston, Eason, Vera, Clarence, Arie, Nola, Theodosia.

Mrs. Corbin is survived by one son, Steve Corbin and his wife Perla of Miami, Florida; one daughter, Sandra Toole and her husband Jerry Campbell of Chipley, Florida; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Sapp Holiness Church in Cottondale, Florida with Rev. Robert Simmons and Chubby Watson officiating. The family will receive family and friends at Sapp Church at 1:00 P.M. prior to the funeral. Interment will follow in the Sapp Church Cemetery with Brown Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida presiding.
