Perry obit

Patricia Ann (Dunn) Perry, 74, of Bonifay, FL went home to be with our Heavenly Father on Saturday, November 12, 2016.  Patricia was born in Chattanooga, TN to William Arthur Lee Dunn and Maggie Jeanette (Turner) Dunn on November 14, 1941.

She was raised in the Circus and performed from age 4 thru age 16, traveling all over the USA.  She attended and graduated from Sebring High School in Sebring, FL in 1960.  That same year she married James Edward Richardson Sr. (they were married 21 years) and moved to West Palm Beach, FL. where she had two children, James Edward Richardson, Jr., and Lesa LeAnn (Richardson) Viers.  She relocated to Bonifay, FL in 1980 and was married a second time to David O. Perry on Sept. 6, 1986.  Patricia enjoyed her work, which included, teaching kindergarten for Haverhill Baptist Church, Secretary for Chief Deputy/Lead Investigator at Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, and Secretary at Holmes County Cooperative Extension Office where she retired after 20 years.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 30 years, David O. Perry of Bonifay, FL, her son, James Edward Richardson, Jr., and wife, Elizabeth Anne (Sternke) Richardson of South Bend, IN, her daughter, Lesa LeAnn (Richardson) Viers and husband, Kenneth Gregory Viers of Haughton, LA.;  her grandchildren, Nathan Richardson, Fiona Richardson, Micah Richardson, Aaron Richardson, Shawna (Viers) Langford and husband, James Langford, and Allex (Viers) Rutledge; her great-grandchildren, Delilah Langford, Tyler Langford and Ezra Rutledge.  Patricia is preceded in death by her parents.

Throughout her lifetime, Patricia devoted herself to her family and friends, which were her passion and her joy.  She liked all kinds of sports, foods, arts and crafts, animals, music, dancing and especially sunflowers.  She loved her Lord Jesus, her church, volunteering and giving back to her community.

A Memorial Service for Patricia will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Mt. Zion Independent Baptist Church, 3205 Hwy. 2, Bonifay, FL, with Brother Steve Boroughs officiating.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Patricia, to the church or charity of their choice.

The family would like to express their gratitude to all those who cared for Patricia.  Their kindness is sincerely appreciated.
