Betty Jean Wilson, age 80 of Bonifay, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 14, 2016 at her residence.
Betty was born on November 25, 1935 in Auburndale, Florida to W.C. Richardson and Myrtle B. Ready. She worked at home growing up taking care of her sister, Brenda, and brother, Bobby, growing up. As a teenager she got a job at the local Drug Store/Ice Cream Shop in Auburndale where she made lots of friends, and later at the local Canning Plant. The family moved to Northwest Florida around 1966, where they learned about country living. She eventually moved to Vernon and began work as a housekeeper and cleaning condominiums in Panama City Beach. She loved to take trips to the mountains and see the fall color change. She was a joy to be around and her family will remember her contagious laugh and smile. In her later years, her enjoyment came when she gave her life to the Lord and started attending church. Today she is in the presence of her savior Jesus Christ, free from pain, hurt, and sadness.
