FPTC holds food drive

Florida Panhandle Technical College is conducting a food drive, culminating on November 18, just in time for Thanksgiving. They anticipate helping in excess of 100 families.

Recommending only non-perishable food items, the school is encouraging students to bring the items to their respective classrooms for the next week, and they invite the public to help.

All canned goods and other non-perishables may be dropped off at the Student Services desk in the Administration Building on Hoyt Street, and already there have been donations.

“This is a giving community, and the technical college is a large part of the fabric of this community,” stated Director Martha Compton.  “We appreciate the giving spirit of our students and encourage the public to join with us in this noble effort.”
