FHP seeks state re-accreditation

~ Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies will assess FHP ~

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has announced that a team of assessors from the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) will arrive on December 6 to examine specific aspects of the FHP’s policies and procedures, management, operations and support services.  Since the FHP is already nationally accredited through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), it only has to comply with approximately 86 additional Florida-based standards in order to receive state accredited status.

For more information regarding CFA or for persons wishing to offer written comments about the FHP’s ability to meet the standards of accreditation, please write: CFA, P.O. Box 1489, Tallahassee, Florida  32302, or email to info@flaccreditation.org.
