The Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (FBCCEDP) would like to invite all women from Jackson, Holmes, and Washington counties to an evening of food, friends, and education on women’s health screenings. This is a free event for all women who would like to learn more about the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Program, the importance of regular breast and cervical screenings, and the availability of local community resources. The event will be held at Northwest Florida Community Hospital Specialty Building in Chipley on Tuesday, October 25th. Doors will open at 4:30pm and the event will last until 6:30pm. A special ceremony honoring the programs’ breast cancer survivors will also be conducted. Please join us as we focus on improving women’s health throughout our community!
The Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Screening Program (FBCCEDP) is a CDC funded program that helps qualifying women receive their breast and cervical screenings. Formerly known as the BCCOURA program, FBCCEDP has helped women receive their breast exams, pap smears, and mammograms at no cost since 1995. To qualify, you must be 50-64 years of age, have no health insurance, and meet program income guidelines.
To find out if you are eligible for the program, or if you have any questions about the event, please contact Becky Dunaway or Emily Gilley at 850-526-2412 ext. 179 or 206.
