Olio owner is guest speaker at CRAA meeting …

MARIANNA— Terry Owens of Olio Art and Gift Gallery in Marianna was the featured guest speaker at the September 20 meeting of the Chipola Regional Arts Association (CRAA).

Olio is a gallery of a variety of arts, gifts, and handmade items. Gallery founder Terry Owens offered a unique look at the store, its development, its philosophy and some of its amazing products.

CRAA is a volunteer arts group with members from Jackson, Holmes, Calhoun, Liberty, and Washington counties that promotes the arts within the five-county district.

The next CRAA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18 at 11:30 at Jim’s Buffet & Grill.

CRAA inducts new member from Washington County

MARIANNA— The Chipola Regional Arts Association held a special installation of new officer, Barbara James to the Board of Directors at the September 20 meeting. James will serve as the Washington County Representative on the board and will report art events ongoing in the Washington County area. The Installation was conducted by Evelyn Ward, Chipola College Director of Fine Arts.

CRAA promotes arts programs in the Chipola five county district, including offering mini-grants to K-12 teachers for fine arts classroom use and funding in part the Chipola College Artist Series.  The next CRAA meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 18 at 11:30 at Jim’s Buffet & Grill.
