On Monday, October 24, faculty in the Music and Worship Division at The Baptist College of Florida (BCF) in Graceville will be performing their biannual recital in the R.G. Lee Chapel. Beginning at 7:00 p.m., the highly anticipated artistic event will include vocal and instrumental compositions from the early seventeenth century to the present, with various genres represented.
According to BCF Music and Worship Division Chair Bill Davis, the musical selections will include piano duos, a guitar solo, a trumpet solo, several vocal solos and duets, with collections ranging from Leroy Anderson’s “Trumpet’s Lullaby” to Giuseppe Verdi’s “Praise Ye” from Atilla and Mozart’s “Sonata in D for Two Pianos, K 448.” BCF faculty performing will include Davis and Professors Buford Cox, Ron Branning, Jay Erp, Angela Glover, Leslie Heffner, Bill Knowles, and Jody Schnell. In addition to performances by BCF faculty, the Chair of the Music Department at Wallace Community College in Dothan, Rosemary Hunter, will collaborate with Glover in performing two piano pieces.
