Mock is Chipola’s Career Employee of the Year

MARIANNA—Meri Mock, Chipola College’s Publications Coordinator, has been named the college’s Career Employee of the Year for 2016.

As Publications Coordinator, she is responsible for overseeing all college publications, design, logos and marketing campaigns.  Mock has worked at Chipola since 2014. She is active in the Association of Florida Colleges.  In addition, she has served on several college committees including Catalog and Class Schedule and Marketing and Recruitment.

Her supervisor Dr. Bryan Craven, Director of Public Relations, says, “Meri is a talented artist who works to promote a consistent, professional image of the college through outstanding design in publications and marketing campaigns. Her creativity can be seen in the college website and in many other design elements. She loves her work and does all she can to promote the college.”

Mock and her husband, Chris, live in Marianna with their son, Dalton, a sophomore in Chipola’s Engineering Technology program.  Their daughter, Kaitlyn, is a stylist in Mississippi who will be married Sept. 3.

The Employee of the Year award recognizes the exceptional work of Chipola’s career service employees. Candidates are nominated by fellow employees for exhibiting courtesy, motivation and professionalism. Annual winners receive a $1,000 bonus, reserved parking for a year, a one-year membership in AFC, and a $100 gift certificate from the college Book Store.
