Iven Dwane Hussey, age 70, of Cypress, Florida, went home to be with the Lord on August 14, 2016 at his daughter’s home.
Iven was born in Two Egg, Florida, on February 15, 1946 to Louis and Mary Estelle Hussey. He was the owner of Hussey Drywall. Mr. Hussey was a lifelong resident of Jackson County and was of the Holiness faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary Estelle Hussey; sister: Nellar Tyus; two brothers: Jimmy Whit and Bobby Gene Hussey.
He is survived by two sons; Douglas Hussey of Marianna, Florida, Ralph Hussey and wife Amanda of Keller, Texas; one daughter: Kimberly Reed and husband James of Cypress, Florida; four brothers: Burman Hussey, Raymond Hussey, Earl Hussey and wife Barbara, Millard Hussey and wife Janice; two sisters: Mozell Hill, Lorice Powell; seven grandchildren: Taryn Hussey, Jonathan Hussey, Harley Hussey, Jeremy Hussey, Trista Hussey, Richard Reed and wife Jade, and Brandon Reed; host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind the mother of his children, Louise Burkett.
Memorial services will be held 2p.m. Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Lighthouse Community Church in Marianna, Florida, with Rev. Frances Dudley and Rev. Charlie Fowler officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida, directing.
The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to Obert Funeral Home to assist with the service.
