The Florida Highway Patrol’s Office of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Troop I in Panama City, is pleased to announce a commercial motor vehicle outreach and educational opportunity to summarize the topic of the annual Florida Highway Patrol Wrecker Rotation inspection and properly securing loads on wreckers. The goals of the session will include, but not be limited to: annual wrecker inspection procedures, the proper methods for securing loads to include wrecked and disabled vehicles, and the inspection process and enforcement.
The Division of Florida Highway Patrol of the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is authorized to establish a wrecker operator system using qualified, reputable wrecker operators for removal and storage of wrecked or disabled vehicles from a crash scene or for removal and storage of abandoned vehicles.
