Rev. James W. Sapp, 83 of Holmes County, Florida died at his residence Thursday, August 11, 2016.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at First Assembly of God Church in Graceville. Burial will follow in Marvin Chapel Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home of Graceville directing. Family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to funeral service.
James was born in Graceville to the late Brantley Brown Sapp, Jr., and Maxie Alma Worthington Sapp. He was a 1952 graduate of Poplar Springs High School, James retired from the U S Air Force after serving in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was a retired minister with the Assemblies of God.
Preceded in death by one son, Nigel Kent Sapp in 1992.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Linda H Sapp; sons, Noel Duhon Sapp (Rhonda), all of Bonifay, Darrick Roshon Sapp (Gloria), of Manchester, England; daughter, Machelle Ashton (Gary), of Fairfax, VA; daughter-in-law, Sheree Sapp of Tallahassee; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
