Joan M. Stallings, age 83 of Sunny Hills, FL passed from this life on Saturday morning, July 16, 2016 at her residence. She was born on March 15, 1933 to the late John M. Weston and Catherine (Turner) Weston in St. Petersburg, FL.
Joan is the daughter of the American Revolution and has been a resident of the Washington County area since 1968. She is a member of Moss Hill Methodist Church but has recently been attending First United Methodist Church of Wausau. She was also a member of the Wausau garden Club, Red Hat Society, loved collecting antique bottles and the Bahama Islands.
Joan is preceded in death by her husband, W.H. Stallings, two sons, Jeff Edmund Stallings, Charles Dache Stallings, two brothers, Mac Weston and Donald Weston, one sister, Lois Osgood. Survivors include, one son, Jimmy Stallings and wife Kathy of Chipley, FL, one daughter, Dianne Elizabeth Wiley and husband Douglas of Orlando, FL, one brother, Chuck Weston of St. Augustine, FL, four grandchildren, Wendy Sladek and husband Billy, Shea Stallings and wife Kara, Crystal Lore, Jamie Shipp and husband Evan, eight great grandchildren and one daughter in law, Teresa Stallings.
A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Moss Hill Methodist Cemetery with Glenn McEntyre officiating. Flowers will be accepted but donation can be made to Emerald Coast Hospice 1330 South Blvd, Chipley, FL 32428 or First United Methodist Church of Chipley Men’s Helping Hands Ministries 1285 Jackson Ave, Chipley, FL 32428. The Stallings family would like to extend a Special Thanks to the professional love and kindness shown to them from Emerald Coast Hospice at their time of need.
