Thompson obit

Richard ThompsonRichard Thompson, 77 of Tallahassee and Ebro, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 10, 2016 in the Tallahassee Memorial Hospital of Tallahassee.

He was a native of Madison, Florida and a retired machinery engineer. He was also a veteran of the United States Army.

Home Going Services will be held 11 A.M. CST, Saturday, July 16, 2016 from the sanctuary of the Oak Grove Baptist Church, Ebro, with Associate Pastor, Rev. Walter Smith and Rev. Carl Jett, officiating. Committal Services will follow in the St. Luke Memorial Gardens, Vernon, with Military Honors performed by the Honor Guard of Ft. Rucker.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Bonnie Thompson, of Tallahassee, FL; two sons: Rashad Thompson of Tallahassee, FL, and Eldridge Thompson (Stacie) of Atlanta, GA; two brothers: Jesse Thompson of Orlando, FL, and Clarence Thompson of Anchorage, Alaska; sister: Alice Davis (Albert) of Sumter, SC; five grandchildren, sisters & brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Thompson will lie in repose at the church on Saturday from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. Arrangements are entrusted to the Cooper Funeral Home of Chipley.
