PANAMA CITY – On Friday, July 15, at 12:00 p.m., twenty nine women nominated for the 2016 Women of Distinction awards will be announced at a luncheon at St. Andrews Bay Yacht Club, 218 Bunkers Cove Road, Panama City. A program inspired by Girl Scouts nationally, and hosted locally by the Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle, the Women of Distinction awards honor women who truly demonstrate their commitment to the community.
“We are honored to recognize the many women who have been nominated this year, all are excellent role models for Girl Scouts.” stated Raslean M. Allen, Girl Scout Council of the Florida Panhandle, Inc. chief executive officer.
Women are nominated by members of the community and represent a cross section of the community. All nominees will be honored by the Girl Scouts of the Florida Panhandle during the 2016 Women of Distinction Awards Gala, August 27, at the Edgewater Beach & Golf Resort.
