Judith Weeks Solger, 74 of Chipley, went home to be with the Lord on July 8, 2016 at Northwest Florida Community Hospital.
Judith was born on July 10, 1941 in Lakeland, Florida to the late William B. and Billie (Hull) Weeks. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chipley, Florida and was the owner of Judy’s Tropical Plants. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, Wausau Garden Club, and had previously won volunteer of the year for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce. She was a selfless person, devoting her time to programs such as Take Stock In Children and 4-H. During her free time she enjoyed spending time with her loving family, scuba diving, traveling the world, and photography, especially of plants and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son: Christopher Solger; brother: Alan Weeks.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, David M. Solger of Chipley, Florida; son: Brian Solger and wife Sandy of Chipley, Florida; two grandchildren: Ethan Solger and wife Michelle of New Orleans, Louisiana, Erin Solger of Tallahassee, Florida.
A celebration of life will be held 7P.M. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jerry May officiating. Obert Funeral Home of Chipley, Florida in charge of arrangements. A light reception will be held in the fellowship hall following the service.
